Natural remedies for anxiety are sill necessary even though it is considered a fairly natural human reaction. Anxiety is a manageable condition that plays an important role for survival. It is when the mind and body react to danger or threat which results in uncomfortable physical sensations like sweaty palms, trembling hands or legs, tense muscles and fast heartbeat or breathing. However, sometimes this reaction may get out of hand and become a serious disorder that people suffer from. If almost everyday you are worrying, feeling eager about something and have feelings of restlessness, then you probably have a Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) or social anxiety disorder.

People suffering from this disorder often worry too much in a way that seems unrealistic and exaggerated. They always expect that something bad will happen.

Factors Involved in General Anxiety Disorder

There are several factors that can greatly contribute to the development of GAD. There are some researches suggesting that the possibility of this disorder to develop can be connected to the family history. It can be hereditary. GAD is also connected to the level of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. This chemical serves as a transportation medium for information from one nerve cell to another. The unusual level of this chemical can affect on how the brain responds and reacts to a specific situation. Lastly, trauma and stress are the most common cause to GAD which are considered to be external or environmental factors. Events that have great impacts on a person’s emotion and life as well as sudden withdrawal from addictive drugs can lead to GAD. 

Though there are many causes of GAD, there are so many remedies for anxiety disorders as well. Relaxation is one; it has a good effect to the mind and body. Tai chi, yoga and even deep breathing are considered to be good relaxation techniques that help ease the mind and body. Having a balanced diet and enough sleep should be practiced along with the any relaxation technique for best results. Using herbal plants and supplements that are proven to be effective in making a person calm is also a good remedy.

Getting in touch with family and friends is a very effective natural remedy for anxiety. Talking and sharing quality time with the people who cares can make a person happy and secured. With this feeling, a person suffering from anxiety disorder will not feel left alone. Always hold on unto happy thoughts because anxiety disorder attacks when you are on the worry track. On the other hand natural remedies for social anxiety are almost the same with the remedies used for GAD. You always have to think of the best that could happen and not the worst.

Knowing the cause of the disorder will serve as a guide in finding the appropriate natural remedies for anxiety. Complete understanding on what type of problem you are facing is of great help in determining a good and effective solution.
